US Junior National Team - 1977-1978

Selected for U-17 National Team



Manchester United (England) 1978-79

Spent six months under the tutelage of Harry Gregg, GK coach of Manchester United. 


Los Angeles Aztecs (NASL) 1979-1981

Signed Contract with Aztecs under Rinus Michaels. Trained and played with Johann Cruyff and George Best.



AEK FC. (Athens, Greece 1st Division) 1982-83

Signed with one of the premier clubs in Greece.


Southampton (England 1st Division) 1985-86

Trained with Peter Shilton (England's World Cup National GK). While training and developing with Shilton, played with Petersfield United.


FC Bournemouth (England 3rd Div.) 1986-87

Played 7 months under Harry Redknapp (Current Queens Park Rangers Manager in the English Premier League). Bournemouth won the division and were promoted to the second division that year.



San Diego Sockers (MISL) 1991-92

Signed contract and played two seasons with MISL Champion team.



FC Chur (Switzerland 2nd Div.) 1992-93


Savva Biller is the former goalkeeper coach for the Lobo men's soccer squad for four years (2011-2014). He brings with him over 30 years of experience as a professional goalkeeper and coach both in the United States as well as overseas.

In his first season as UNM's goalkeeper coach, Biller helped mold then first-year starter Victor Rodriguez into one of the top keepers in the country. Rodriguez finished the 2011 season with a 18-0-4 record, which included 12 shutouts. Rodriguez finished the season fourth in the nation in goals against average with a 0.50 average and a save percentage of 0.851. He was also named MVP of the MPSF Conference Tournament as well as Second Team All-MPSF.

Rodriguez posted another fine season as a senior in 2012. Rodriguez went on to sign a professional contract with Antigua F.C. in Guatemala after graduating.

In 2013, Biller was in charge of coaching grad student transfer, Michael Lisch.  Under Biller's tutelage, Lisch recorded a 14-6-2 record with eleven shutouts... Second in Conference USA with 0.84 goals against average.  Lisch was instrumental in leading the team to C-USA championship and a national semifinal berth.  Lisch was then selected in the 2014 MLS Super Draft by the Houston Dynamo.

Biller offers over 10 years professional playing experience, including six years in European leagues, one year in the M.I.S.L. and three years is the N.A.S.L..

For the past twelve years, Biller has offered private goalkeeping lessons in Albuquerque and over the course of his career has held assistant coaching positions at Cal State Northridge, Santa Monica Junior College and Santa Monica High School.
